We beat last year’s record!

2019 MICM Dinner Concert

Madeline Island Chamber Music’s Dinner Concert & Celebration raised almost $75,000 for student scholarships and fellowships, the most ever raised at this annual event. Held at Wild Rice Retreat in Bayfield, the Dinner Concert featured a performance of Dvorak’s String Quartet in F Major, nicknamed the “American Quartet,” by the renowned American String Quartet in anticipation of Independence Day. One of our advanced student quartets thrilled the audience with a performance of a movement from Schubert’s Quartet in D Minor, “Death and the Maiden.” The sold-out event also included a live auction and fund-a-need auction with enthusiastic bidding. The evening celebrated Madeline Island Chamber Music’s leadership in education, collaboration, and inspiration for the next generation of musicians.

Thanks to everyone who attended!
