Brooklyn Rider Performs Mozart with Molto Delight
“Best Role Models for Today’s Young People”
Madeline Island Chamber Music’s campus is dark, but nothing could be more bright and alive than Brooklyn Rider performing the final movement from Mozart’s String Quartet in G Major, K. 387. We’re pleased to bring you this series of highlights from the Madeline Island Chamber Music concert archives.
In summer 2018, PBS Wisconsin filmed a 60-minute special, “Music From Madeline Island,” about our summer program. Brooklyn Rider was the ensemble-in-residence that week, teaching our students and performing to the delight of our audiences. In this excerpt from “Music From Madeline Island,” the members* of Brooklyn Rider talk about the string quartet form and perform in concert.
* A fun fact about Brooklyn Rider: their violist Nicholas Cords is an alumnus of Madeline Island Chamber Music.
Please enjoy this 7-minute excerpt of Brooklyn Rider performing the last movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s String Quartet in G Major, K. 387. Don’t miss the surprise at the end!
